BSB Rd 4 Cadwell Park. Race Day Sunday

24-05-2010

Spectacular sunny and dry weather for race day at Cadwell:

Dan was looking for a step forward in the races at Cadwell and he achieved that. A 10th place in race one and a crash in race two from 7th position may not have delivered the points that Dan wanted but Dan was pleased that he was competitive and aggressive particularly in the second race where he was up to 5th at one point. In summary Dan looked to be a challenger for the front positions and that is the step forward that Dan and I wanted from the event. Onwards now to Mallory Park with confidence for more progress.

Christian had a very tough weekend. A crash in practice prevented qualifying and therefore it was a start from the back of the grid for race one. A gearbox issue in race one followed causing a DNF. Race two was better with Christian fighting through from the back of the grid to a 16th place finish. Not the weekend Christian wanted but time now for more testing and then to the Cadwell Park races to get things back on track.

Pat had another good event winning the Supersport Cup race again and finishing 15th place overall with a confident ride. This leaves Pat only two points off the lead for the Cup Championship and he goes into the Mallory Park event in good form.

Martin had a tough race with an overheating bike leaving him uncompetitive and resulting in a 21st place finish. The stock classes do not race at Mallory but do race on the GP schedule at Silverstone on 20th June before rejoining the BSB Championship at Knockhill. Martin is looking for good steps forward at both events and will be testing at Mallory Park over the coming weeks.
