BSB Rd 5 Mallory Park. Qualifying Day Saturday.
27-06-2010
Great dry and sunny weather at Mallory this weekend is helping to make a successful event.
Dan and Rob Mac Racing have made further progress this weekend building on the Cadwell success and qualifying in a strong 8th position for race one. Second row is always a good starting place for Dan and with confidence high the races will be good.
Christian and SMT have been posting progressively faster lap times through the weekend leading to a 57.0s lap in Roll for Pole getting through to the second stage of qualifying finishing with 17th grid position. Christian is pleased with the lap times and is looking forward to the races although would have liked a higher grid spot. The times are so tight here at Mallory that a small difference in times makes a large difference in grid position.
Pat and East Coast Racing are having a more difficult event so far qualifying 5th in the Cup and 25th overall, following a road biking accident. Although Pat can ride he is somewhat beaten up by the crash but is aiming to work through the field during the race tomorrow.
No Superstock races here at Mallory so Martin will be out next at Knockhill.
