Pat McDougall and East Coast Racing to contest British Supersport

30-01-2010

Whilst completing the final planning for the team's 2010 roads and BSB campaign, East Coast Racing's Phil Reed has decided to focus resources on the British Supersport Championship rather than British Superbike. As a result Pat will move from the planned BSB campaign to the British Supersport Championship riding a newly built Yamaha R6. Spider, who was Dan Linfoot's technician in 2009, is building the bike and will be working with Pat for the 2010 campaign. The bike will be ready for the team's next test at Portimao early in February. The teams road programme is not changed.

In Pat's words: "I am delighted to be contesting the BSS championship. For 2008 and 2009 I have been racing R6's so I know the bike. Put that together with the quality of bike that the team are preparing and I expect to be very strong. Portimao will be great preparation for the start of the season at my favourite circuit Brands Hatch".
