Pat McDougall in Portimao. Days 2 and 3
07-02-2010
Pat and East Coast Racing have completed their three day test and are packed up ready to return to the UK tomorrow. As with day one, the last two days have been affected by damp track conditions in the morning together with cold track temperatures this afternoon. Despite this the three days have undoubtably been useful. Pat completed over 100 laps and although the track conditions did not provide an opportunity to go for lap times Pat has got dialled into the bike. The team also leaves Portimao with a good starting point for a base setting to use for the season. In Pat's words:
"Without doubt it has been a useful three days although it would have been nice to have warmer, dryer conditions. Overall I am delighted with the way the bike is going. I am comfortable with the East Coast Racing R6 and that together with the development that the team have planned before Brands Hatch, gives me confidence that we will be competitive at the first round"
The team are planning some UK tests between now and Brands Hatch, probably including Cadwell.
