Date of birth: 8th July 1988

Born in 1989 and inspired by the racing he saw both at the track and on TV,
Dan’s career began in 2001 riding Minibikes. Just 12 months later he already had
one national and six regional titles in the bag. In 2003 he graduated to
motorcycles, entering several 125cc championships at club level. Dan’s most
prestigious victory being a win at the annual “Stars at Darley Moor” meeting. For
2004 a move to the British 125cc Championship took place, finishing 24th overall
with a best result of ninth. Dan was also crowned the North East Motorcycle
Racing Club 125cc champion.
In 2005 Dan really stepped his pace up in the British 125cc series. He took four
consecutive second place finishes to finish fourth in the overall championship. He
was granted a wildcard entry into the British 125cc Grand Prix, and finished ninth
in a monsoon-like race. To cap the year off, Dorna awarded Dan an allexpenses-paid ride with the AJO 125cc GP team in the final two Spanish
Championship races, finishing in ninth and sixth place respectively.
For 2006 Dan joined Team KRP to ride in the British 125cc series. After four
races, two of which were wins, Dan had the opportunity to compete in the
European 250cc Championship race at Vallelunga, which he won. This led to a
further eight 250cc MotoGP wildcard rides with the English-based Winona
Racing team, his best result being 17th at Mugello. Dorna saw the potential in
Linfoot and after Winona failed to secure the necessary sponsorship for their
2007 campaign, Dan was placed with the Italian outfit Team Sicilia, from the midseason
British GP onwards. Dan’s first race with the team was to be his best
result, again at a monsoon like Donington Park where he replicated his ninthplace
finish from two years ago. Dan went on to finish the season in 24th place.
Dan made the move to Superbike racing for the 2008 season and joined StoneBaker Racing to compete in the WSBK European Superstock 600 championship. A great year followed with Dan achieving 3 podium finishes including two wins at the Assen and Magny Cours rounds and 5th place overall in the championship. Following that successful season and having gained experience on 600cc R6 Yamaha bikes, Dan joined the leading BSB team Rob Mac Racing, to compete in the British Supersport Championship for 2009. The 2009 season started strongly with three podiums in the first four races but injury with a broken foot at Snetterton stopped the championship winning chances for the season. However, not having to focus on the championship on return from injury, gave Dan the opportunity to move to Superbikes for the last two rounds of the season in preparation for 2010 plans.
Dan's strong 2009 performance before injury, opened the door to move up to British Superbikes with Rob Mac Racing for the 2010 season partnering Neil Hodgson in a two man assault on the championship. Another important season for Dan and an opportunity to establish his credentials as a Superbike racer.

Born in 1985, the initial racing bug came from a family involvement in
motorsport. Christian’s Dad Paul was a successful racer competing in GPs,
World Superbike and domestic championships. So Christian joined the Iddon
family on the road as they travelled between circuits.
By the age of two, Christian was charging around the paddock on a 30cc bike with stabilisers. It was only a matter of time before he started racing. "When I was six I started racing in the British motocross championship. I spent my life on two wheels, either a pushbike or motorbike. As soon as I was home from school I'd be riding," he remembers.
In 2002 Paul had been racing Supermoto in Britain, which meant the Iddon
family attended those races as well. After much pestering Christian raced his
Dad's bike in a round, winning 3 of the 4 races that day despite starting from
last on the grid in every race and he showed enough promise in that one run
to secure a sponsor for the 2003 British championship.
The next year he won both the British 450 and Open Summer Championships as well as the Open Winter Championship.
By 2005 Christian was racing for Husaberg factory in the World Championship, finishing 6th overall. Aprilia then signed him up in 2006 to team up with Supermoto legend Thierry Van Den Bosch in a full factory team. Christian finished fourth while Thierry won the title.
2007 was even better and Christian took 2 British titles as well as finishing 3rd in the FIM World Championship after winning 2 GP's.
2008 saw Christian take the British title but he finished 6th in the World Championship after a season effected by a wrist injury. 2008 also saw Christian’s first outing on the short circuits aboard an Aprilia Tuono in the Thundersport GB series and aboard the SMT 600 Honda in the BSB National Junior Superstock series.
In 2009 Christian had a number of opportunities for the Supermoto World Championship and decided to move to KTM and race with Motoracing KTM who also provided machinery to race in the British Supermoto Championship. At the same time Christian wanted to develop his short circuit experience in the KTM RC8 Supercup in the BSB Championship. The relationship with Motoracing KTM did not go as well as planned and the World campaign suffered as a result however, the British campaign was a great success with Christian winning the British Championship and obtaining podium finishes in the KTM RC8 Supercup rounds. Confident of his growing presence in short circuit racing Christian decided the time was right to make the step to the different discipline for the 2010 season.
For 2010 Christian has signed to race in the British Superbike Championship for SMT Racing. SMT are a leading privateer Honda team in the BSB paddock and will give Christian a great opportunity to impress in Superbike racing.
Pat McDougall - British Supersport Championship
Date of birth: 18th March 1985

Pat began racing in 2003, finishing second in the BEMSEE Rookie 400 King of Clubs Championship. In a highly impressive first year, McDougall logged 11 race wins, 15 further podiums and three lap records.
For 2004, he took his first stab at the R6 Cup. In what was essentially a learning year mastering 600cc sports bikes and road-based tyres, Pat scored a superb fourth-place finish in the MotoGP support round at Donington Park.
The following year, McDougall made his entry into the international scene, contesting the European Superstock 600 series with Beowulf Racing. Impressing many with his gutsy riding and determined attitude, McDougall ended the series as top Brit in 16th place with a best finish of seventh at Brands Hatch.
Age restrictions in the class meant that Pat was forced to return to home shores for 2006, racing in the British R6 Cup. However, his links with the team remained and when the opportunity arose to ride the Beowulf Suzuki in the European Superstock 1000 class at the midway point of the season, the young hotshot jumped at the chance.
It was back to the UK for 2007 with McDougall landing his first Championship title. Pat won the 660 Bracken KTM 660 Cup series notching up 13 wins along the way. He was also seventh in the British Superbike-backed KTM Super Duke Challenge.
In 2008 Pat ran part of the season in the BSB British Supersport Cup and then later in the season entered rounds of the BSB British Superstock 600 championship. This led to Pat returning in 2009 to the BSB British Superstock 600 championship for a full season in his own Beowulf Racing team managed by Pat's father Dave. Pat had a successful year including a race win in the first round at Brands Hatch, and finished 7th in the championship. Also in 2009 Pat had a strong showing in the British Endurance Championship with East Coast Racing owned by Phil Reed.
This endurance racing outing together with the successful season in Superstock, led to Pat and Phil Reed agreeing terms to race the 2010 BSB British Supersport Championship season together in the East Coast Racing Yamaha team. A good opportunity for Pat to establish his credentials as a Supersport racer.

Arrived at Guadix
08-03-2010
We arrived and set up at Guadix. Neither Dan or I have not been to the circuit before. It is narrow, short and twisty but the surface is good (except for a repair patch) as are the run off areas. The BSB record around here appears to be Leon Haslam in 2008 with 1m12.4s. The garage is set up and we a... read more
